Let’s support each other while we heal by receiving Christ’s love and consolation. \n“Seasons of Hope is a unique grief-support program for Catholics that focuses on the spiritual side of grieving the death of a loved one. It invites those who mourn to accompany one another and to meet Christ through scripture\, prayer\, reflection\, and simple activities that offer comfort and help to foster healing and spiritual growth.”–M. Donna MacLeod \nThese 6-week bereavement group will start on October 19th on Saturdays from 10am-12pm\, once a week until November 23rd. The group will be led by Deacon Raul Abella. We will meet at Holy Angels III building for the session and then share some light refreshments. \nAbout the Speaker – Deacon Raul Abella \nDeacon Raul was ordained as Permanent Ordained Deacon in 2015. SUMMARY:Pregnancy and Infant Loss Mass
DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with Catholic Cemeteries and Elizabeth Ministry\, a special Pregnancy and Infant Loss Mass will be held on Oct. 12th at 2:30pm at Gardens of Gethsemani Cemetery to honour the lives of infants and children who have died at any age. At this Mass\, families are invited to light a candle and also write the names of littles ones on slips of paper that will be collected and placed on the altar. \nLight refreshments will be available and a rosary walk to the Jesus and the Children Garden will take place for families to gather and pray with one another after Mass. Elizabeth Ministry volunteers will be at this Mass and reception to meet with bereaved families. \nElizabeth Ministry (EM) is an international movement rooted in the beliefs of the Catholic faith. In the archdiocese of Vancouver\, members focus on offering peer support to bereaved families grieving the loss of young children\, toddlers and infants of any age\, from conception onward. \nWe hope you will join us for the special occasion.

DESCRIPTION:Join Gardens of Gethsemani staff and community for our monthly rosary walk through Gardens as we meditate on the mysteries of the life of Jesus\, and pray for our loved ones and all those buried at Gardens. \nThe rosary walk will take place the first Thursday of every month at 10 a.m.  We will meet in front of the Holy Angels buildings’ parking lot and will end back at Holy Angels with some light refreshments. There is plenty of parking in that area. \n“The Rosary is the most beautiful and rich in graces of all prayers; it is the prayer that touches most the Heart of the Mother of God…and if you wish peace to reign in your homes\, recite the family Rosary.” ~ Pope Pius X \nEvent runs rain or shine! All are welcome! \nFor directions to the Holy Angels buildings: Drive through the main gate of Gardens of Gethsemani\, take a right at the roundabout\, drive up the hill and the first cluster of buildings you see on your right hand are the Holy Angels buildings.
