"Toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to the tomb. There was a great earthquake and an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, rolled back the stone, sat upon it and said to the women, "Do not be afraid. You seek Jesus who was crucified. Prayer:

Father, send forth Your Spirit of light upon us, that we may enter into the Easter mystery of Your only Son. You lead us, Your sons and daughters, from death to life. Give us the Spirit of the Risen Christ and make us witnesses of His Resurrection. Amen.
